CalPers: 400 Q Street, Sacramento, CA 95814
We've attended this event every year, staffing a table where we can hand out materials and talk with CalPers employees as part of their United Way kick-off. Several GRC'ers work there and traditionally help with this event, but we'll need others, too. We received this info from the organizers (we will get the reference number for CCI giving before the demo):
The Kick-off event begins at 11:30 a.m. and will conclude at 1:30 p.m. Please plan to arrive between 10:00 -11:00 a.m. to set-up. Our address is 400 Q Street. Parking is available in the garage under our Lincoln Plaza North building. To access that garage, exit Q Street off of I-5; the parking entrance is located on the left side of Q Street just past the second stop light. Each agency will receive one parking pass to cover the cost of your parking fees upon exiting the garage. Lunch will not be served as part of the event this year – food will be available for purchase in the cafeteria. The event will take place in our Lincoln Plaza North building on the first floor behind the escalators. Each agency will be provided one table and two chairs. We plan to have approximately 600 attendees. You may wish to have something with your agency name and number to distribute to our employees for their use in completing their pledge forms. You will also be given tickets to hand out to our employees who visit your table. Our employees can then enter the tickets for door prizes. We hope this will result in a high volume of traffic at your tables and ultimately, increase the number of donors at CalPERS.

El Dorado Hills Community Park: 1021 Harvard Way, El Dorado Hills, CA 95762
We've attended this annual event in the past when it was known as "Woofstock" or "Bark in the Park". We'll have a demo table and will do a short demo sometime during the event. Set up begins at 8am. This is an "all dog" day and there will be food vendors and people with dog related items for sale or give away. It's always a fun day and good chance for CCI to be out in the community.
Set up at 8:30am, staff our table, walk around event with our CCI pups/dogs in aprons, gather at appointed time for demo in center area
Volunteer Types & Times:
Be at our booth to hand out brochures and talk to people who stop by. Also, go out onto the field when it\'s time for CCI\'s demo (you don\'t have to speak though)
Volunteers Scheduled: A red * denotes lead contact for event or task.
