  • Welcome to Gold Rush Champions (GRC)

    An all volunteer chapter of Canine Companions for Independence (CCI), a nonprofit organization that enhances the lives of people with disabilities by providing highly trained assistance dogs and the ongoing support needed to ensure a sucessful graduate team.
    GRC is a group of volunteers who work together to support the mission of CCI and to help local breeder/caretakers, puppy raisers and graduate teams in the greater Sacramento valley region, as well as the greater Reno region.

    By registering and logging in you will make it easier for the GRC to manage volunteers, send out notices of demonstrations and events as well as keep you the member up to date.

     

    Benefits of registering and logging in to the website include:

    1) Ability to access and easily change your own member information and have access to basic contact information for other members.

    2) Access to the new GRC Forums and Membership list which will replace the grcgroup forum and member list on Yahoo Groups.

    3) Ability to manage and track your volunteering for GRC demos and events online.

    4) Access to file and photo upload/download storage on website.

    5) System to track each of your CCI dogs and important information for each. 

    6) Other new features still in the planning stages.

    The Lions will be serving: Crab ~ Prawns ~ Clam Chowder ~ Green Salad ~ Bread

    There will be limited seating with advanced ticket sales only: Donation $40 per person

    The Sisters of Scota, WMC Presents: Biker Dog Run - Marking the Delta

    Proceeds to Benefit Canine Companions for Independence

    Registration: 9-11 am at Moon River Inn, 8201 Freeport, Sacramento

    This is a Poker Run through the Delta from the Moon River Inn to Garcia Bend Park

    Cost: $15 per person or $25 per couple and includes t-shirt and lunch

    There will be Music by Spotted Dog Revue, vendors and raffle at Garcia Bend Park
